This is how your child eats for free
In the main canteen in Dortmund, children can choose between the individual menu lines - including vegan and vegetarian dishes - or from the vegetable, pasta or salad buffet. In all other restaurants, children have a free choice between the hot meals and the buffet dishes.
Conditions and contact persons
As a general rule, the meal is free for children up to the age of 10, provided that the person accompanying the child purchases their own full meal. While it is sufficient to present a birth certificate at the FH Südwestfalen campuses, the universities in Dortmund issue their own child ID card, which must be shown at the checkout.

For the child ID card, FH students with children should send an e-mail to: familienservice(at)fh-dortmund.de. The Family Service can be found at the following address: Max-Ophüls-Platz 1, 1st floor.
